I see you standing in the corner I've never said your name before I’m not the kind of girl you’d notice You’ve never heard my name I’m sure But I’ll probably screw it up again I need a little boost of confidence I’ve tried approaching you before I guess I’ll try once more Ooo I don’t know what to do I draw a blank when I am close to you Ooo I don’t know what to say Guess I’ll try again some other day And see, what you might say to me. So now I’m standing on the dance floor I’m feeling awkward in my shoes I’ll take a seat out on the sidelines I’ve never had the choice to choose. But I’ll probably screw it up again I need a little boost of confidence I’ve tried approaching you before I guess I’ll try once more Ooo I don’t know what to do I draw a blank when I am close to you Ooo I don’t know what to say Guess I’ll try again some other day And see, what you might say to me. I’m heading home, I’ve got a curfew But I wouldn’t stay out anyway And you’re forever in a corner of my mind I still don’t have a thing to say

Come home, red dress in hand Rose petals on the night stand You’ve spent time with my best friend I think we know how this one ends One dozen roses, please One week later, on my knees How could you do this to me? Oh God, will you please forgive me? Lisa, girl you know you’re tearing me apart Chocolate, symbol of love Denny watches from above Where’d my fucking money go? Give me five minutes or so You play psychologist I can’t go on like this People sure are strange these days How’s your sex life anyway?

I step outside, my umbrella at my side On my way to school, it’s raining and it’s cold Every day I walk to class a different way If I didn’t it would soon get pretty old Walk towards the street, my feet can barely keep a beat, As I take the steps to move further away I change my pace, it’s not a sprint, it’s not a race But it feels that more and more it is each day. I step and wonder With every stride What if I turn around And run back inside? Cuz IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII don’t wanna gooooooooo IIIIIIIIIIIIII wanna go hoooooooooome Preceding every walk I put the key inside the lock And pretend that it should turn the other way I have to force it in and take it out again Before my morning ritual is done today Get out the door before I think about it more Before I try to turn around and run away I have to stop myself and tell myself again That this isn’t gonna ruin another day I step and wonder With every stride What if I turn around And run back inside? Cuz IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII don’t wanna gooooooooo IIIIIIIIIIIIII wanna go hoooooooooome Maybe someday I will be done with this You’ll never know just how much fun this is I wanna go home

Strange Neighbors New York

Hey! We're Strange Neighbors. We first unleashed our jangly power pop on the New York City in 2018. We like making groovy tunes that bridge the gap between the Beatles and My Chemical Romance. Take a listen and experience our new nostalgia for yourself. ... more
